About Healing Gemstones
My name is Trevor Mayes and proprietor of colour-counselling-therapy-healing and as such I am responsible for the content and design of this web site; my personal interests experience and qualifications are as follows.
I was born in 1951 and originate from
Haverhill in Suffolk and have lived in many parts of the UK. I now
live near New Quay in west Wales. I have done a variety of different
occupations, foundry worker, outdoor pursuits instructor, senior social
worker, children's home manager, market gardener and now a colour therapist.
I have a Diploma in Colour Therapy from the Iris International School
of Colour Therapy, a Certificate in Community & Youth Work from The
University of London Goldsmiths College 1974 - 76 and a Diploma in
Community Education from De Montfort University 1980-82. I am also
a professional qualified web site designer with a Diploma in Web Site
Design (Distinction) from the Association of Certified IT Professionals.
My interests include
the psychological, scientific, medical, and therapeutic use of colour,
anything to do with spirituality and the metaphysical including shamanism, I read the runes and have an intuitive understanding of numerology.
I use the online diagnostic tests and the choice of colour to tune into people and what is happening in peoples lives. I am a dowser that has spent several years learning the use of the universal pendulum for remote healing . I am an audiophile that still collects vinyl and appreciate the quality
reproduction of music as a means of colour healing. I live a healthy lifestyle
growing my own vegetables and love to cook and eat a rainbow diet. I still have a passion
for outdoor pursuits and still walk over mountains and along the spectacular
world renown coastal paths in this part of Wales. Sailing is a passion
but it is canoe surfing or wave skiing that is part of a lifestyle
way of keeping body and soul together.
Member International Wheel of Colour (IWOC)
Is an independent non-profit association incorporating The Colour Therapy Council (CTC) that aims to provide an international register of people working with colour as a healing medium. IWOC practises voluntary regulation with the aim of establishing, upholding and advancing the standards and competence and conduct of those who practise Colour and Light Therapy and providing real guidance and support to Colour practitioners. Our members are required to sign a pledge to uphold the highest of ethical and professional standards and our beautiful Membership Certificate aims to help practitioners convey confidence and trust to anyone who is seeking their help.
Furthermore, the International Wheel of colour has a mission to create a global colour network furthering the use of colour therapy by bringing colour into the public eye. We will be widely advertised in magazines and our website will be linked to many other organisations and health directories. Join us now to create a powerful surge of colour energy and get the professional recognition you deserve.
The Colour Therapy Council is totally equalitarian and made up annually of a group of practitioner IWOC members chosen using colour psychology principles of colour personality archetypes. Its aim is to maintain professional standards by encouraging schools and manufacturers to submit their products and courses for IWOC approval status in return for the use of our distinctive IWOC approved logo.
The Wheel of Colour is the only organisation that uses the principles of Colour Therapy on our website and administration, the only one that helps to promote your career with comprehensive listings, direct links to your website, free downloads, and message board facilities and much more.To visit the IWOS click here
